well again it depends on which speaker you choose. The response from each speaker is going to be different in identical enclosure alignments(i.e. sealed or ported)
The general rule is that it is easier to get better sq with a sealed box. However a porter box can be made to sound just as good and a bit louder but it must be designed tuned and built exactly right. If your not using a professional builder go sealed.
