I know i aint been on here in a while, but i need opinions on new below setups, i know im stuck on kicker, so ill at least be getting cvx models lol, im also a fan of higher tuned boxes cause my current setup is l7 12's on zx1500 4cu @ 47hz lol, it will make my eye balls pop out my head, literally i cant drive all the way up

NEW : Amp AQ2200, heard it was true amp

4 cvx 10's 5.8cu @ 40hz OR

2 cvx 15's 7cu @ 40hz

Both is after displacements

i know some may suggest lower tuning, but im used to solob's @ 47hz, so for me cvx's should be wayy better @ 40hz

in my 99 s10 blazer, just out of those exact 2 seups, 4 cvx 10's or 2 cvx 15's???

i know i will, but as i said im used to l7's @ 47hz, so the cvx's should be good for me @ 40hz, cause i like higher tuned bass, its louder to me.

had my l7's in a box @ 34hz, and they sounded muuuch better than 47hz, but NO WHERE AS LOUD as the one @ 47hz

i like eye poping bass

but thanks for input

ive had a single 15 dual 4ohm cvx runnin in 1ohm with the box tuned to 36hz im pretty sure and it hit realll hard and killed the lows...the sq on the cvx is alot better then the l7s ive had a pair of 12 L7s and the one 15 hit cleaner and harder

37hz vs 40hz ???

both around 7 cubes after sub and port displacements, but i really dont wanna go lower than 37hz

also will the aq 2200 slam the15's close to there limit?? ive had no experimence with aq amps

The L7 and cvx are pretty much the same sub, different shape for the most part.

I think the AQ will over power those subs but who knows. are you dead set on those subs? I would shoot for 36hz

that one is easier you have more cone space with four 10's...4x10 =40 and 2x15=30 so the 10's will be louder than the 2 15's

That isn't how you calculate cone area...just stfu and gtfo.

Ex.

15'' / 2 = 7.5''
7.5^2 x Pi = 176.71 sq in

2 15" = 353.43 sq in
4 10" = 314.16 sq in
(without surrounds taken into consideration)
