I'm not going to have time to put on my lift kit and new rims and tires until the spring or summer next year, so I was thinking I may just throw everything in my grandma's basement. Her house is just a classic like 1920s or 30s colonial. concrete floors and block foundation in the unfinished part. dry and clean. is it safe to throw my rims, tires, shocks, springs and stuff down there for 7 or 8 months?
I just dont want to throw away like a g in tires (dry rot, etc.)
Don't use any tire treatments. Wash the tires off with soap and water and put each one in a trash bag after drying. Remove as much air as you can (you could use a vacuum) and ziptie it off. Then put them on their sides on the floor, not standing up. Tires are built with self moisturizing oils inside and storing them this way will keep them fresh for years.
