i love the L7s and cvrs and cvx's but for the price you can do better look into AudioQue www.audioque.com

fi subs www.ficaraudio.com

RD audio idk there website

theres alot more but take a look at those to get an idea they are great subs and i'm sure you can find some in your price range it would also help to know what you want from your substage

SQ-sound quality
SPL-sound pressure level or loudness
SQL- a mixuture of both

posts like that kill this forum MS if you dont like L7s then give some constructive criticism instead of just posting pics and i believe your opinion is worthless since you've never ran an L7 i personally have and know many people who have and love them the only down size i see to them is the price

I have never run a pyle or a dual sub either. Theres a reason for that, they sound like crap.

And I like my pics. lol.

i've ran Comps, CVR's., CVX's, L5's, L7's and Solx X. Took me a while to learn my lesson.
What is your budget for subs, amp, and enclosure?
Do you want SQ, SQL, or SPL?
this next link is a Tacoma running RD audio... Took 1st at Usaci worlds last year in Dallas. Enjoy.

www.rdaudio.net dont gop by retail price. If interested I can tell you who you need to get in touch with for a much better price on their products.

I have 2-12" AQ sd2.5's than need about 1200 clean watts. You can buy the matching amp (AQ1200) for $249 shipped BNIB from factory dealer (I ordered one yesterday).
www.Audioque.com I'de let them both go for $150 + actual shipping.

I like the pics too. I've heard alot of kicker setups, some of them sound halfway ok, but not for the price they paid. Its just a bunch of hype.

1. whats your price range?
2. do you any equipment already?
3. SQ? SQL? SPL?
4. do you have to buy from a store or can you buy online?

nice lil amp. there is nothing wrong with MTX amps for the most part. and i believe it is CEA compliant. you can try to find a 15" Treo SSX, Would be a nice match for that amp(along with many other options)
that just popped into my head, sooo...

2 Fi SSD's wouldn't be a bad choice. You'd be under powering them but I have seen plenty of people feed 1500rms to a pair.

yea i've never heard fi's subs so i'm not to sure.
the only setups i've heard are kicers L7s,L5s,cvx,and comps.
jl audio w6,w3,w1
memphis mojos
fockford fasegate p2's
and audiobahn imortal series

i thought the jl's sounded the best tho. they hit hard and we'll they just sounded better. it might be because of the box tho. it was a custom fiberglass box built to hold four of them. and it was in a gmc sanoma.

any sugestions out of any of the brands i listed?

I would go with the JL but they are pretty overpriced and you could get something sounding louder for less. I know how you want to go with 2 15's but if you get 1 15' and power it right and get a built to specs box it will sound louder than 2 in prefab...and you'll make most people confused on how 1 sub is louder than their 2 lol.

youtube Fi subs and you'll find some nice videos

Out of what you listed, everything is crap just about except JL. Which is good but way overpriced.

" i don't really want to buy any brand that i haven't heard or even seen before. "

Fair enough but you're missing out on a lot then. Most of the best brands are the most uncommon on the street so you will likely never see them.

The SSDs would blow the W6, W3, and W1's out of the water. And yes, I have heard them all. Granted the W6 would be a better choice than the SSD for a SQ install.

your welcome jonathan but you should consider trying the Fi subs. WAY better than kicker. I used to be like you a few years ago thinking kicker pioneer and jl were the best. I also didn't like brands I didn't know or were available at local shops. But trust me after you hear some fi or aq subs you'll never want kicker again.
