I've started to read up on box building. Basically, I listen to mainly RnB and Dance/House. I have a large space in a van to fill with sound, unlike a car. I'm not sure how big this box should be. Can someone tell me what height x width x depth is required? And can someone also tell me what mhz I would need to tune it to? I have the mdf. I was thinking I have a space to work to of not more than 800mm height x 600mm wide x 700mm deep. Can it be that big or does it need to be bigger/smaller?
what would the difference between ported and sealed be? What would give a better sound quality? Keeping in mind, it's for a ford econovan (courier van), so it's filling a large space... ??
i know you have a big space prob is you cant put a small sub in a huge box 1000w max its prob doing 400rms the box your talkin about building is about 10cuft would requires either a bunch of your sub or maybe one big 18
ok, so the area I have is more than ample. Given that I listen to a lot of RnB and Dance/House, stuff with pretty big base, not really techno. Is there a port that you would recommend? Or maybe stick with a sealed box sounds like less risk...
