I just got a brand new MTX 9500 12" and It's not nearlly as loud as another one I heard in the same box with the same amp in the same car. I was wondering if it was because this sub is brand new so it needs to be broken in. If thats true how much of a diffrence is there once the sub is broken in and how long does it take?

From my expiernce the subs should sound nearly the same when it is broken in, just you need to take it easy on it for awhile

What can happen if you turn it up too loud before it breaks in.
