ive built that same box and polyfill did help"soften"the sound some.it made it sound cleaner if that makes any sense.maybe alittle more musical.idk but all my enclosures, ported and sealed ive added polyfill after a short time and i seem to like it better.even my AQ 2.5 15 built 4cuft tuned to 40hz sounded better "to me"with polyfill.not a ton but just loosly filled about 1/2 of the box.if you dont like it you can take it out.1.68$ at walmart for a 20oz bag.
