JL 10w6v2. Good in small sealed places. Kinda pricey tho but sound quality is awesome.

I would assume sealed b/c of size limitations. If you can go ported, do it...

Look into a AQ HDC3 10. http://www.audioque.com/aq/HDCSeries.htm
That sub would sound better ported though

Well this is tough because thats a lot of power you are running to one 10 and square subs suck so i would recommend this but it aint cheap http://www.cerwinvegamobile.com/stroker10.php

HDC3 wont have terrible SQ but theres better SQ out there. And I wouldnt put an HDC3 in a sealed box. Dont even think about that Cerwin Vega, ive heard one and its not impressive at all. Like I said before for a small sealed box go with a JL 10w6 or maybe a Fi Q.

Well just because he has a 1k amp doesn't mean he has to use all of it. For SQ both of the mentioned subs about are good I've never heard the Q but the W6 are meant for small enclosures and have great SQ. Check into some of the RL series subs for SQ like the RL-S or RL-P

For SQ with that amp and the sealed box I would go with an Infinity Kappa Perfect Die Cast no question. The dual 4 coils wired to 2 ohms will see a clean 500+ RMS.

I would go with the Fi Q simply because of my experience with it. It has decent output and great SQ, and falls right in your price range. 1krms is plenty on the Q too.
