12" RE SX vs 2 12" type r

this may be a dumb question but....

i had 2 12" type rs hooked up to a kicker zx850.2 and they had really nice sq and hit hard. I blew them because i miss set the gains

anyway i was leaning towards getting an 1 RE SX and using the same amp but i have never heard one before. I think it would be better but i don't want to go through the trouble of getting a new box and all when i could have just gotten 2 new type rs.

i'm just lookin for some advice before i throw down the big bucks.

What exactly are you asking? The SX is a great sub. I have heard one off of a similar amp and it is loud and sounds pretty good. If you think the SX will be louder than two Type-Rs on the same power you're mistaken tho.

get the type-rs back and set those gains right.

2 12's have more cone area than 1 12"
