I have a alpine MRD 500watt mono amp hook up to my 2 12" round Kicker solo-baric SVC 4ohm subs, and the subs are wired for a 2ohm load. I turn on my cd player and I get hardly any bass. I've tuned the amp, and I know the subs are fine because yesterday I had them hooked up to my friends Rockford BD500 and they sounded decent, now I hook them up to a alpine amp and I get hardly any bass.... anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks...
Remember that alpine is made for crisp clean pure sound, and not for mad power. Your subs would require some power to sound decent, your amp is excellent quality, but designed for a single 10 inch sub.
