With ported boxes, is it the smaller the box, the lower the sub will hit? or is some of it in the tunning? I have a 15" d6 in a 3.3cf chamber @ 35 hz. (diamond recommends 3.0cf @ 27-30hz) It still hits pretty low, but i feel it can still go lower, but i like how loud it is right now. Should I just lower the tuning, or make the box slightly smaller?
What I meant is desighn a new box slightly smaller and come up with new port dimentions that would make the box be around 35hz. Since my port is a slot port, I was thinking about making an extension same size of the port, just longer, and somehow attach it to the end of my port and see how a lower tuning sounds with the net staying the same. Im fine with it the way it is, Im just wondering how low I can make it hit without loosing alot of spl.
