Stolen Stuff Time to Replace

So long story short I had my whole entire system stolen out of my 05 Civic Coupe, while it was having it's rear bumper repaired. Needless to say I got cut a check for the items at full retail price.
Stolen Goods: Alpine CDA-9855, Kicker 12" CompVx Loaded Enclosure, Kicker ZX1000.1.

They were too lazy to take my Polk speakers, so now I am of need of alittle help being that it's been sometime since I've looked at Car Audio.

I spent some time looking at the new Alpine headunits and frankly I was unimpressed, the one thing I hated most about my 9855 (Besides glide touch) was that the Ipod interface support blew. Not being able to use my remote to go through songs and menus was just plain dumb.

As far as the rest of it goes I'm leaning towards going with two 10" subs instead of one twelve this time around, and I plan on getting another kicker amp (i work at ccity so I get a nice discount on it)

I really don't know too much about the latest and greatest stuff, being that I lost interest in it right after I started college and what not, so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

One of my friends had his CD player stolen when his truck was bing repaired. I still think the machanics took it...

Anyway, what kicker amp were you thinking about buying? the ZX1000.1 again? If so then these subs would be pretty sweet:

One RE SX10: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=4913

Two TREO TSX:

(buy the DVC 2ohm and wire in Series/Parallel)

Two Boston Acoustics G5104: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2520

Two Diamond Audio D310D2:
http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2839
(Series/Parallel)

Two Mmats P2.5 10: http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=2155
(I believe you can get these in single 4ohm VC)

So needless to say I ended up picking up the RESX10 and I have the Zx1000.1 on its way.

Now its back to headunit, I really like Alpine's older stuff, I just went to Best Buy lol to check out the 9885, and the display wasn't quite as sexy as my 9855, (sexiness isn't the goal but it is nice) anyhow my question is how do you guys feel about the 9887, I've gotten alot of mixed reviews being that you can't adjust the bass or treble on the headunit until you get some sort of external eq that comes out in September and retails at $250. So any ideas on alternatives or should I just get the 9885 or 87.

Ya, I personally like the older versions of Alpines HU's better than their newer ones. This is the HU that I have right now: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8520_Pioneer+Premier+DEH-P490iB.html

Best HU ive ever worked with. This comes with the accessories to use Ipods and MP3 Players so theres no need to go out and buy the adaptors. Cheap price and looks nice.
