My brother has a friend (sounds kinda funny to say almost like hes a loser) that wants a sub(s) 1-15" or 2 12" to go in the back of an impala. He is looking to spend about 1g on subs and an amp now the trick is though it has to be on a stock alt. What hes looking for is spl with sq that doesnt sound sloppy or gross lol u know what i mean so u can actually enjoy the music but still gets hela loud. What i was thinking of is
telling him to go with a 15" BL RL-s dd-2500 or 3500 audioque sd2.5 re sx
Fi Q 15 on a 1krms- I think the BL wants more power. The Q still gets loud, but it doesn't need the power the BL does. Even some SSD 12s with copper coil option would sound great and get loud. The sx would be nice too.
my gut instinct and experience with other cars arranged like this one is that the impala should help some with the low end bass but will need help on the upper frequencies so the audioque 2.5 12's should be fine
trust me these are very efficient plus well im not in a hurry to sell them i might use them but then i had to get another 2 12s because i dont like 2 12s 4 12s will be alot better
dude i have th ecomplete package i have a brand new hifonics bxi2006d and a pair of re audio sx... this amp is very efficient i had 3 of them one i was usingon stock alt to my 6 12s on everything stock only 0 gauge big 3 and it was pushing my 6 12s like crazy anyway if you want somethign let me know i could give youa nice deal on the subs and the amp
IMO i'd get a mtx 1501d amp, since it does 1000wrms at 12volts and 1500wrms at 14volts, so even on a stock alt. your gonna get close to 1000wmrs from it, and for subs just pick some that would do good with 1k, and since evry1 on this forum thinks FI is the end all to car audio i'll assume you'll probally get a Q.
