Wednesday, September 26, 2007 - 03:52 GMT why do my subs seem to hit harder at lower volume, if my cd player is at 18 to 20 they are hittin hard but if i turn it up to like 22 to 24 they seem to either keep the same volume or not hit as hard

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 - 03:59 GMT probably your perception of less treble surrounding the bass seems louder. then when your hearing the words become increasingly louder the bass is kind of drowned out

Wednesday, September 26, 2007 - 04:17 GMT Your amp my be maxing out w/ your HU's volume at 18-20...then when you turn it up farther, you are driving it into clipping.
