Use a carnauba wax. one that you wipe on and wipe off. You will want to put it on in little swirls about 2inches wide each swirl. Do one section of the car at a time and dont do it in the sun.
its gonna take some time but its worth it itll make ur car look real good ohhhhh and dont get sumthing with like 100% carnuba thats expensive (not like ull find it round here either)

u let it sit till it turns white then wipe it off.....
oh an i dont do one section at a time i wax tha whole car.... then whip it off in that same oder.....
yeah don't use spray.. take the time and go ahead and give it a nice wax. if you wash it once a week you will be amazed how much easier it is to wash after you wax it. just out of curiousity what color is your car?
