I have a kx1200.1, and my budget it whatever I get out of my Type R's plus that flared box.

What do you guys think would be my best bet. My ideal setup would be 2 w6's, but I dont have $800 to drop on the subs. I was thinkin possible either 2 12" RE SE's or 1 FI Q or... possible a TREO TSI... idk, I just don't think I'll have hearing by age 20 if i keep these R's. They do have amazing SQ though, might I add...

does anyone know anything about the re mx. Is that more sq or spl? How about re subs in general are they more sq or spl oriented? Same with RD? I know fi q is sq, but I just want to look at all my options.

O ya, the classics are ear sex, but gonna be loud too. You may want to check out the RD Studio's or a single Sonance :-) Shoot me an email.

Ok, Im looking for a sub with that DEEP BASS CRAVE! My R's are deafening with a TON of vibrations, and I can't tune them any lower than like 35 Hz..

If i remember right, the manual didnt suggest anything lower than 35Hz. I think the Q would hit lowest at 28Hz.

who cares what the manual says. do you think everyone follows what the manuals' say for box sizes?

well if the company who makes the sub put that in there for a reason, it's obviously got some meaning.

it's a recommendation, that's about it. what does the manual say about rms? and how much are you giving them? look how many people were giving the q more than the 'rms' before the bp option was available and nothing at all wrong with them. you can tune them lower and like them. had mine lower and they were fine, and heard them tuned to 30hz. and they were fine. can't go by just what the manual says.

who said u cant tune em under 35hz

in fact i had mine 32hz & u got it all - SQ with loudness

also had mine each in only 1cuft sealed & then amazed me how loud they got yet had nice SQ on it too

i suggest u spend only $0 or so & build urself a sealed box & then decide if u want to change ......

1 15w over w 12q's? my trunk isnt the biggest. my current box is 36x16.5x13.5 and thats pushin it. What about those W6's, you dont seem to be givin much love to those powerhouses. It would be perfect for the amp i got too, the kx1200.1.

Rovin, do you think it would be possible to put that 15 Q in a box roughly 36 inches wide 16.5 inches deep and 13 inches tall and tune it to 28 Hz?

havent been around any w6 -hear some 13w7 which is SWEET so w6 SQ should be even better if u can afford it - more SQ subs

36x16.5x13.5 = 4.21 b4 any displacement so it should be kinda tight after sub\port displacement but can work

28hz u will more FEEL the bass than HEAR it - i like 32-33hz for nice SQL - u should email owner of FI since its his subs & he will give u the best advice what to do ........
