Yea you can get it cheaper. Try Excessive Amperage or Iraggi.

for my 2007 civic Iraggi wants $399 for a 220amp alternator (i have a small as5 engine and car)

mike did you get a quote anywhere else? I was looking at the new civic and wanted to know the ho alt prices lol it wont be good if they are that high :-(

You may be stuck man. I doubt Ohio Gen prices will be any better. As for Iraggi, the closest one they have is this:

But it starts at 88, you should email and ask if it will fit a 84-85.
