Yes, each enclosure is dual ported.

I didn't say it before, but, that is an amp box built as part the enclosure design to fit within the vehicle.

Here's a in car shot and bench shot:

what is the purpose of mounting subs inside out like that...i mean i've seen it done before but how does it affect performance?? Is it only appropriate with certain subs?

bling bling and also you get a bit more cuft in the box cause you don't have the driver displacement.

u can do it with any sub.
it increases the box volume a little bit because you dont have to account for displacment. Its mostly for looks really

Looks really clean. I really like the built in spot for the amp.

Chad,

The subs sounded great in these enclosure's.

Nice, clean sq bass response and the spl loudness was clean and not boomy/muddy at all.

Granted, the customer didn't have the time to tweak and balance out the system settings, but, the previous settings they were at sounded pretty d@mn good and I was quite impressed at the bass response, especially for 18" subs ported.

Yeah, That amp box was not part of the original design, the customer was just going to lay that on top of the enclosures, but then it would of been over the height of the rear seats.

So, there was enough width & depth back there so I could revise the design and make the amp box as part of the overall design and keep it at seat height.

Chad,

Yeah, I know, I can quote decent price's for enclosure's, but, there's not getting around the shipping costs and that's what usually is the final deciding factor for the customer.

Btw, if anyone was curious about the actual fabrication as the enclosure itself, here's a few interior design draft views.
