Thank you for checking in... My old Clifford car alarm (bought in 1996, I have no manual)was working great for a long time. Then, the battery died and so did the alarm, so I thought. Then I reconnected the neg terminal one day during some stero project, and the alarm went off. GREAT! My alarm was back (not so great). Now, it keeps arming while I drive. I called a dealer and they said, "open door, ignition on, flick valet one time, then turm ignition off." It worked, for a week. After a short time it started doing it again. Now I drive with one hand on the remote and one hand on the wheel. Turning is hard, not to mention dangerous. I tried to recreate the reset by disconnecting the termonal again, but to no avail. I tried switching the valet key 1x, 2x, 3x, etc. How can I get my alarm to work they way it supposed to be? Thanks to all of you for help people like me!
