Apparently A vehicle with two 18" Digital Designs hit a 185.1 Db and there is a video of it here: http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos.html at the bottom of the competition videos list.
This is the discription of the video: "South America world record being set, 185.1 dB, with two 18" Digital Design subs powered by a eight Digital Designs Z2 amps.
Filmed by VOODOO "

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is incredible, if its true. Can't see vehicle in vid or the stereo system. I know that DD is outstanding in performance car audio but this vid is questionable. Haven't looked aroud for any other info. What do you guys think?

It's definately crazy. Hey Chauncey, I think the meter was on a window. Anyways it is a lil sketch so i think we should wait for it to be official before bustin out the champagne. still an awesome preview of what'll prolly be happenin soon.

That was on the AC190 meter...not the Termlab.

Usually the Ac190 is within 1db of the TL, but it is VERY easy to mess w/ reading on the AC.

185.1 is insane...sh!t...170 is insane...lol.

Sure does Muddy! Vehicles are still different though. DD truck has special glass thats bolted down whith like 20 bolts each. The pioneer truck is not as modefied but that score is just amazing even with 1 SPL deducted. Thats a huge jump from Pioneers 180.3 Db. DD is INCREDIBLE. I believe that DD is capable of such score. Thats just my opinion.

Thats incredible, and should be highly impossible to beat. Unless DD beat it themselves. Hell, throw a couple more 99zs and eight more z2 amps... lets see if we can break the sound barrier.
