actually his box must be 35hz :P.. but yea.. you can get more out of that sub seeing my sx does 145s off just a 1000wrms.,. good score though. now your addicted to going louder.. once you get it metered all you want to do is gain every 0.1 of a dB you can :-)

TL under the dash best was 145.7 .. last 2 comps i ran 145.3 and 145.2 so I'm consistant in the 145s but my box is tuned to 35hz.. burping at 45hz.. going to build a comp box. Going to run it off a 35.1 next..

well something is wrong!
yes the SSX is stiff suspension with a near 10" spider..
that score could have been accomplished with 1000rms... ur not gettin full power from ur amps, cause insufficent charging, wiring, batts, or u have a very sh!ty box design...
where was the sub placed etc? pics?

Not trying to down it but the pure shape of it renders it useless. It must retain the same shape throughout in order for it to be effective

Oh by the way the ports go on after the box is placed in the trunk, not before. I use 3M packaging take to hold them on, works great even on hot days. Polo.

Yes sirrrr, lol. The external ports are designed to to reduce turbulance. Anything within a box will create turbulance and reduced dbs to boot. A well designed/built box will also allow you to run more power to a sub that normally wouldn't be able to handle it in a different enclosure. Maybe this is the reason why I can beat the p!ss outta my sx15 in the same enclosure. Funny at tune the sub really doesn't move much. Polo..
