I wouldn't reccomend Sony or Kenwood. You can probably find something WAY better for the same or slightly more $.

Hey sorry havent been on for ages, i would spend maybe $400-$500 AUD on a sub, speakers and an amp. Then maybe $300 on a head unit. So any advice would be good, thanks

Sound Quality, Sound Pressure Level, Sound quality level.

SPL is plain loud, SQL is loud but sounds good.

No cap for subs, check this system... 2 10s AA arsenal, audiobahn a8000V, infinity or PG components, get a 4 channel amp (old school cuz is better) and then you can buy a pioneer HU (very good for the money)

or u can look at 1 assassin 12, or 1 arsenal 12, and get a pg 400.1 for the assassin, or maybe a kicker kx750 for the arsenal.

the arsenal will be alot louder, but the assassin is also a very good sub.
