Silver Member Username: Mygame5982H-TOWN, TEXAS US Post Number: 247 Registered: Jan-06 | and what about the planet audio VX1400D? |
Silver Member Username: Teddy21Ann Arbor, MI USA Post Number: 118 Registered: Feb-06 | Planet Audio is just a crappy brand, i doubt that the 1250 is a RMS figure. The Jbl actually puts out more than 1200 watts RMS at 1 and 2 ohms. Now the memphis, Memphis is a good amp but you would have to wire your subs to 1 ohm to get all 1000 watts. Which means you need to get the 4ohm dvc versions of the kicker compvrs. This is the stats for the memphis: RMS Power (W) 300x1 @ 4 ohms / 600x1 @ 2 ohms / 1000x1 @ 1ohm THD @ 4 ohms 0.75% Frequency Response +/- 0.5dB 10Hz - 500Hz Dimensions (in) 10 x 2.5 x 14.00 Optional Remote 16-PRDGC |

Silver Member Username: Mygame5982H-TOWN, TEXAS US Post Number: 250 Registered: Jan-06 | so which is a better amplifier the memphis prd1000.1 or the jbl1200.1? thanks for your help by the way |
Silver Member Username: Teddy21Ann Arbor, MI USA Post Number: 120 Registered: Feb-06 | i would say the jbl because of the wiring options, you can wire it at 1 or 2 ohms and get full power out of it. With the memphis you have to wire at 1 ohm to get full power. These amps are great but im sure there alot more amps you could find that would work for you. Kicker amps are very good as well as the elemental designs "nine.1". Go to www.dei.com and look at the orion amps. But just remember on wiring of the subs, becuase if you dont get the right voice coil config then you will not be able to get all the power out of the amp. here is a wiring wizard http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/wiringwizard.asp?WoofQty=2+woofers&WoofImp =Dual+Voice+Coil+-+4+ohms+x+2 |
