Silver Member Username: Matt12490Benicia, California USA Post Number: 977 Registered: May-05 | It isnt nessasary to get a different amp. that memphis is probably underated about 15%. and puts out around 1100 watts and i think those CVX's will get plenty loud off 550 watts. After all, you can buy the memphis and if you would like them to be louder, you can sell the memphis (more than you paid for) and get something more powerful. I say go for it! |

Gold Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 1366 Registered: Oct-05 | with those subs, anything but sealed wouldnt be very good. they are spl subs and a ported box tuned to around 32 would make them pound. i have heard them in a sealed box and they dont get very loud. and yes, i didnt realize that memphis amp put out that many watts. If it really does 1200 watts or more, GO FOR IT!! |
