Just picked one of these up the other day and took it to a local audio store to help me set it up ( I had a couple problems ). Anyway, they tuned my system and I noticed that the level on the amp is maxed out. I have the sub level on the HU at +4 on a -6 to +6 scale etc. and at level 30 or so on the HU my old 450 watt kicker beats it in SPL. But when I go from 30-40 the crossfire absolutely KILLS the kicker. My question is, is it normal to have such a steep curve for amp power like that?

Also, side note. My capacitor has been acting really funny. All of a sudden it will start discharging and I just have to wiggle the ground connection on the cap and it instantly goes back up to 14.4V. I checked the connections and they are great. Could the wire be shorting out or something?

The whole freakin car rattles to peices at 40/61 volume, at 45/61 or so it starts sounding weird (I think distortion?) but at like 34 or 35/61 it is just fairly loud. That is why I don't understand if it is just such a steep volume slope or what.
