are mono amps more power efficiant than bridging a class a/b?

sub
im probly going to get the infinity reference 1232W 12"
Power Handling, RMS: 300 Watts
its 4ohm dvc going to be wired down to 2ohms
because im going mainly for sq and dont need something to really pound.

amp
im looking at jbl and alpine because they are affordable im trying to stay under 225$$

what is a better quality amp out of these two?

JBL CS200.1
338 watts x 1 @ 2 Ohms RMS Power

Alpine MRP-M450
400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

-im going to build my own box to fit it with the right airspace and everything.

what do you think of this set-up? is it decent, again i dont need insane bass or anything to impressive just something to give me some good low end.

ok, last question i have an 80 amp alt. and am currently running 300rms off of it on a class a/b 4 chan. amp my lights dont dim or anything like that. do you think my alt can handel the drain added on by one of the above amps?

thanks for the help in advance

if ebay is an option i would suggest this if you want to stay in that power range.

unless you are on a smaller budget. ^^ that would be a nice little SQ set-up which it seems like you are looking for.

your alternator will be at max with just the audio. That still leaves the current required by your car. I would recommend ATLEAST 120 amp alternator.

ok if i were to get a 120a alt from another car how do i make it fit on there or anything like that. i dont know where i could get one made that would fit and i dont really want to have to spend a couple hundred on a 200a

so any suggestions on how i can upgrade to just 120a

go to your local auto parts store and ask them what's the biggest alternator they can offer for your car. You may get a good deal. Otherwise look on ebay. Check out Iraggi alternator. They are an ebay seller and have really good prices.
