Box for Rap type bass

I am looking into buying a new box that will primarily be used to play hip-hop stuff.
"Preferably in a residential area." ;P
I will be using 2X12" subs @ around 500 watts each.
Do you guys recommend a sealed or port box?

Also, I am more interested in harder hitting base, versus the rolling thunder type.

Haven't gotten the subs yet. I plan on buying the subs and box at the same time, so that's why I needed to get an idea of what type of box would sound better for rap music.

i got a pioneer tsw306dvc 1000 watts max 400 rms huw much watt should i put to it i want wicked bass with little distortion
