Hey guys-
I just bought 2 Alpine S12's from my friend with a Phoenix Gold 400 Watt Amp...and I hooked it all up, and for some reason it doesnt seem like it bumps as well as it should??? I have a 8 Gauge Wire going from my battery to my amp, then I have RCA Cables going from my deck to my amp, and then the Remote Wire from my deck to my amp, and then my ground, and then I have got a red and black wire going to each sub...so two for each sub...Now I thought I heard somewhere that if you wire them into one you get better power or something along those lines, is there any way that I can wire it differently to get it to be louder???

I've been reading on these subs, and I notice that on the Alpine website they sell 4 ohm and 2 ohm S 12's, how can I tell if they are 4 or 2????

Also here is from the website which is describing my exact amp....TI400.2
Phoenix Gold TI400.2 Titanium Series 100W x 2 (4 Ohm Stereo), 400W x 1 (4 Ohm Bridged) Amplifier

So does that mean if I wire my subs in parallel that I will get 400 watts???? Please help me!
