your going from 1 15" sub that handles 600wRMS, to 2 12" that handle 175wRMS a piece.

i would go with the 15"

ya but i thought the 2 REs would sound similair to the one 15 and it would be about $100 cheaper because i could buy a 400 watts rms amp instead of a 600. So my question is will the SE 15 be that much better that the 2 REs?

i think it would. i try not to buy entry level anything when i have the chance. not to say that the RE RE's are crap, but i would rather have a meaty single 15" than two entry level 12's.

just my opinion:-)

however, if it works out better for you budget-wise, then go with the 2 12's and the 400 watt amp. it certainly won't be bad sounding, and will get fairly loud.
