I was just wondering if you lose alot of sq from mounting a tweeter on the midbass. I've been looking into the Image dynamics chameleon 6.5". They say you can mount the tweeter on the midbass for point source or just mount them separately. I'm looking into point source so I can keep my door panel intact and to make installation easier. So I didn't know if you lose alot of sq from point source mounting and if you don't lose a lot then does anybody recommend some components I can mount this way. thanx

You shouldn't lose any sq unless there are obstructions to the stock placement or the stock placement is in a really screwed up place. Seperate components just give you more options on imaging and staging.

I know that just about all of Boston Acoustics component can be mounted point source.
