hi, have a question, i installed the amp, and i installed an on/off switch on remote wire.
the switch is in a plexi glass holder, and since the remote wire is 12v can i hook and LED light up to the switch using the remote line to power it?

that way it will light up the plexi and i can see if its on at night. its only a small 3v led, id use a resistor on it.

Depedns how many Amps is available from your Remote wire, my headunit supplies a max of 0.3A which is enough to power a small LED.

Do not use the remote wire as a power source for the LED lights. On most HUs, it has a maximum current of 200mA. If you draw more than that, you will risk of damaging the HU's remote power. If you need power, go to Radio Shack and purchase a relay for $6. You can then use it to control everything.
