On my cd in my truck on it says 50Wx4, what does that mean?

the peak power that the HU delievers when hooked up to 4 ch. such as 4 speakers so actually each speaker would be getting between 17-22watts rms from the HU depending on the HU. RMS is what you want to look for when hookin up speakers to a particular headunit otherwise use an external amp, but try to stay in the speakers rms range as much as possible
