Box Volume * 1.1 cubic feet
Port Diameter * 3 inches
Tuning Frequency *33 hertz
Port Length * 13.7079 inches
This will make the bottom of the port just 2 inches off the bottom of the box. Does this sound right.

to me that really doesn't sound right port seems a few inches to long not sure though try this site http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 just use the calculator on the bottom of the page...it should help quite a bit just enter a couple of specs for the sub it'll punch out some numbers for you

Sounds about right. Once you take the volume of sub and port from 1.1ft3 you're really looking at tuning about 0.9ft3 to 33hz. You really need to keep the port away from a box wall by its diameter. Could you increase one of you box dimesions to get the extra inch?, or just put a 90deg. bend in your port, or just leave it as it is and see how it goes.
