Anonymous | Hello! I am trying to compile a list of all minidv camcorders with this capability for around $500 and below. Is there a link or site you can provide or can anyone here give me more than what I have so far: 1. Sony TRV-22 2. Samsung SCD80 3. Canon ZR65MC (ZR Series) 4. Sony Digital 8 models (but these are not minidv) Do JVC, Panasonic, or any other manufacturer make camcorders with the pass-thru feature? Thanks in advance. I am just comparing prices among them to get the best deal. I will we converting my old 8mm tapes and vhs movies over to DVD. Thanks and regards! |

Derek | All Sony Digital8s do it. I think thier MiniDVs do also. I know someone with a Canon ZR40 and the manual says it does (it can also be found on Canon's web site) though I haven't tested it. |

| I am looking for the same thing. The cheapest I've found is the JVC GR-D70US (~$320), which says it has analog input, but I'm not sure it is RCA or what, as I haven't seen the camera. The Samsung SCD27 (~$350) appears to be the same. I'm looking for the cheapest dv cam available with RCA inputs. Any help? |
