Here's my scenario: My car had 6x9 woofers with 2.5" speaker in the back, and I'm replacing them both. It all has to fit in a 6x9 hole, so I found an adapter plate for a 6.5" with a tweeter. The problem is that the crossover in the car is probably not accurate to the 6.5" + 1" tweeter JBL component system I'm looking at right? So I'm wondering if I should just get a 6.5" two way speaker to connect my bass wires to, and a tweeter for the high wires. Is that bad? Does that make sense? I don't want to miss out on any mids since I'm replacing a 2.5" with a 1".
