hay guys, i'm looking to buy 3 4" aero ports so i can tune my box a little lower.

are the ones from parts express pretty good? they look exactly like the ones in my box right now.

www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=268-352

thanks for any input.

ok sounds good, one more question tho..

how hard are those things to tune? what exactly do you have to do to figure out the exact tuning?

this is probably a stupid question but this is the only box iv'e had with aero's.

thanks again.

To tune the port(s) you just cut it to the correct length. Use this link to figure out the length.

thanks, that's exactly what i needed.

and one more thing, if this was your build, what would you tune a 15" in 4.5 cuft to be a loud and deep daily driver?

My 15'' Q is 4cuft @35hz and it sound pretty dam good. Your box is slightly bigger so idk if that makes any difference. I also had a dd1515 before that and it sounded really good too so....

i sold him the sub and the box.

it can be really up to you. they come in 17 inch lengths IIRC. 17 inch lengths would give you a tuning of around 32-33hz. from there you can cut off little by little to get the tuning you desire.

you can also plug the aero with a towel or something. this will lower your tuning as well.

plugging one of the aeros you currently have would roughly take you down around the mid to low 30 hz range
