Hi, I have a JL Audio 12W7 sub that I want to hook up, also have a capacitor...I still need to purchase a box for it and was wondering would it be better to get a ported or unported box for it? Also if anyone is selling a box for it for a reasonable price let me know.
If you have room, I would go ported. I would get a box tuned low 30-32 hz range. I had a 13w7 in a box tuned to 30 hz and the lows were amazing. If you can, find one of JLs high output boxes, you wont be dissapointed.
^^ do not buy a pre-fab though. JL's boxes are overprices for what they are though. I could make you one just as nice built to the specifications of the sub for way cheaper.
