What should I use to fix a crack in a Kicker L5 cone? I've fixed other cones in the past by taking a soldering iron and melting the plastic back together but is there a proper way to fix this?

There is no proper way to fix torn injection molded materials. Any solution for fixing a tear in the cone will never get it to it's original dynamics. Sorry I couldn't help.

Wahl, get in contact with Kicker and have them fix it at the factory (put a new cone in). Do not go to your local shop.

It's one of my friends subs. I usually install and fix a lot of stuff for people cause Car Audio is my main hobby. He wound up just using silicone to seal the cone back up. He got the stuff off ebay so there is no warranty

Kicker is really nice about there stuff, just call them explain ur situation and they'll give you an RE #, even if you don't have a warranty(like i didn't)
