MTX amps used to be good. Newer ones are not so much.

I have 2 mtx 81001's hooked up to 4 mtx 7500's and the amp does great and they are all wired out to a 1 ohm load and the gain is set at half and the system pounds!!!!!

I like the MTX TA series amps if you can get them for a good price,if paying authorized dealers cost there are lots of other companies out there.

A amp doesn't read subs it reads a ohm load,so as many as you want just make sure the amp will push the subs RMS.

My last install was 1x 81001 hooked up to 4x 7500 12"
and it was a nice setup.
An very underrated Amp, mine was tested at 1958Wrms at 1ohm and was very solid.

you could run however many subs you would like, for a trunk car i'd run 2 12's or 2 15's but for an SUV maybe 4 12's or 4 15's
