i am going to get some wood tomo for my next wall job. i don't really want mdf because i want soemthing stronger and lighter if i can.
today a man told me that mdf2 is just like mdf but stronger.. but the way he talked i am thinking it will also weigh more.
i know that baltic birch is good, but cost a lot

truepan... i dont know anything about it really. but he said it was really light and stronger than mdf..
any one know about truepan?
he said if i can fiberglass resin it would soak into the truepan and that would be the best thing i could ever use.. .. only what he said.

Trupan Light is 80% the weight of MDF but not as strong. That's 20 pounds less per sheet. Trupan Ultra Light is 60% the weight. The main advantage is it is very easy to cut and router. It also sands mirror smooth.
