does anyone know if its possible to wire 2 13w7 in series into a 3 ohm load.

the reason i ask is because i heard that the 13w7 are a dual 1.5 ohm v/c and it only has a single +/- terminal post because its configured inside the coil.

i need to know before i buy them.

and if ur wanting to know why i ask this ? is because i plan to buy 2 more in the future and the amp i will be using is rated 1 ohm stable.

lets say you have 2 W7 13s.on a monoblock amp.

connect the + on one to the + on the amp.

then connect the - on the second one to the - on the amp.

then connect the + and - that arent being used on the subs together. this should create a circuit and keep the impedence at 1.5 ohms.

and no, you can't get a 3 ohm load out of a W713, not possible. its automatically a 1.5 load when its hooked up

Agreed, that's how I have mine wired.

To clarify you can get a 3ohm load out of a SINGLE 13w7 just not two which is what I belive Lucas was getting at.

This may help.
