Bronze Member Username: Capulina6Post Number: 22 Registered: Apr-04 | im kinda stuck on this problem, ok i have a 99' VW Jetta with factory components but i was trying to upgrade to some kicker components, i was told on crutchfield that my car requires a 6 3/4 component which is only available in the K65.2 set, but i was planning on getting the 6.2 so i called Kicker directly to ask on the difference in size and the rep said that the 6.2 is a 6" woofer and the 65.2 is a 6.5" woofer, the web page http://www.kicker.com/ShowPage.cfm?filename=kseries.html&menu=MIDTWEET says they are both 6.5" woofers, can anyone help that knows kicker or can just tell me if the 6.2 will fit in my car?? thanks |

Silver Member Username: Sploosh56Post Number: 101 Registered: May-04 | the 6 3/4" speaker just made slightly larger to fit some vehichles. Just get the 6 1/2" speaker and crutchfield will give you a free mounting kit for it. I had the same problem in my 2001 Dodge Intepid. You might have to use some rope caulk to make sure the speaker is sealed off. |
