hey everyone ive been in India for the past month so ive been out of the picture for a little wile. Anyway in getting a new truck soon and I can't fit my 9515 so I'm going to have to change my setup.

I'm either going to get a 9512g or 2 04/05 10" xxx's. Whichever I choose to do I have 2700rns to use.

I know these are cometly different subs and the 9512 is SQL and the xxx's are sq. I love the way my 9515 sounds it gets real loud and hits a variety of notes. Ive heard a newer xxx but never a 04/05. I know the xxx wouldnt hit as high as a 9512 or be as loud up high but it will dominate down low. I really don't know which setup I should choose so I would greatly appriciate opinions from some people.

Thanks

I'd probably go with the 2 10s for more output and that's a lot of power for a 9512.

Ya I know the 2 10's have more cone area but would the 9512 be louder becuase its a SQL sub and has higher fs.

I'm running the 2700rms on my 9515 right now with no problems at all

Hey man how've you been?

Why are ya getting rid of the S10?

BTW, I own a 9515 and a friend of mine has two XXXs. I would go with the XXXs any day. His setup is even louder due to more cone area and the SQ and low end destroy my 9515. That is with 2 XXX 18" though.

well I like the s10 but I'm switching to a 06 silverado 1500. I want something a little bigger and my parents have a silverado and I love the way it drives. Plus my s10 is a gas hog the silverado gets 3-4 mpg more even though the engine is much bigger and its a v8... Go figure.

M.S. How do how the xxx's hit the high notes compair to your 9515?

depends, you running them ported or sealed?

ported they are going to start falling 10hz over your tuning freq as will anything mostly

sealed they carry everything well.. thats the plus to using xbl^2

but i don't consider them SQ subs.. they are more SQL than anything

Snarl i also consider the XXX being more of a sql sub. 2 10's ported will slam. If you have room you might want to go with a single 15.

right now I have a 9515 and the reason for changing subs is the 15 is too big so its between the 2 10" ported or 2 12" sealed
