Talk about opposite ends of the spectrum. You said "loud and nice SQ", so that would be the dub six I guess since I can beat box better sq than you'll get on a L7.

the w6's are the nicest sounding subs i've ever heard, ever.

"i don't know who's L7 you've heard but my guess is that dude don't know how to do a decent install. or did you even hear one in person? maybe its cause everyone on this site is saying how they sound terrible so you assume they do. the L7's don't sound that bad."

who are you and what did you do with chad lee? that's the most hostile post i've ever seen from you chad :-(

Firstly, yes I've heard L7's, in at least 3 different installs. I thought it would be obvious that I was being sarcastic to say I can beat box better sq than ANY subwoofer.

Secondly, the comment needs to be taken in context. L7's aren't bad at all in general, but when being compared to a W6, the SQ is MILES apart in my opinion.

The preformance you'll get from a L7 def. depends on install and enclosure...

Cody... from the sound of it you want a SQL type sub.... there are many to choose from... some will cost less than the JL W6... What is your budget for subs, amps, enclosure, and elecrical upgrades(if needed)?

EDIT: rainbows, puppies, teddy bears.

I have never on this forum pretended to be any more proficient in car audio than I am, and have made it a point to only speak on topics that I actually have experience with.

These are two of the relatively few subs that I have experience with.

It's all good dude I knew/know you didn't mean anything by it.

You kinda burst my bubble though lol. just cause i really don't have much CA experience, so i usually feel like i shouldn't try to give an opinion.

i was simply asking a question, calm down. was asking cause i haven't really seen any reviews of these subs yet, and figured since you recommended them that maybe you actually heard them.

any chance you can link me to some reviews as i've been curious as to their performance, etc?

We have a few reviews out, but not many. You can ask Nick V and Canaan to give you a little reviews as well considering they heard the exact subs being sold :-)

what exactly is 'decent'? because not only do you have to afford the subs, but also the amp/s for them. and possibly electrical upgrades as well. and do you need to get speakers and an amp, and hu as well?

i don't care what you make a month, what's your budget for your system?

and where'd you find that jl amp that cheap? cause that is really low so i'd be careful with that buy, unless you know the buyer or can take it yourself to have it benched.

last time, POST A BUDGET!! if not, you will get recommendations on systems ranging from $1,000 to more than $10,000.

also, are you willing to upgrade the electrical? this will determine roughly the size of the system (power wise) you can safely run.

and if you get that 1000/1 remember unless you have an extremely nice electrical system, you can't run it at 1ohm. and it's not very efficient.
