Right now I have a 2001 Impala and instead of buying something new I thought I'd spice this car up.

I'm not looking for much, maybe $400-$500 for subs and amp, I have old wiring from my old installs and a great head unit.

I was thinking maybe some 15 CVRs. I can get a brand new pair from 05 for $200 or so and I've owned them in the past and while they're nothing special something is better then nothing.

I'm really not interested in upgrading my electrical system though so I'm not sure what my limits are.

Ideas?

two alpine type r's and AQ1200.. two of the best "BANGS" for your buck.. Enclosure and install will be as important as the equipment that you buy..

started with CVRs and a sony amp in '03

then CVXs and a RF T1000BD in '06

then I bought an HD3 from AQ and I think was the first or second person on this site with one and still had it hooked up to the T1000

I had a Massive Audio P3000 I bought from LowHz but never got the funds together for a new alternator and extra batteries

If it's any indicator of how long I've been gone, when I was an active member here I had more posts then Paul and Yanks fan.

mark the reason I asked about CVRs is that I've never found them to be terrible. IMO they maintain decent SQ with good SPL in the right enclosure.

Plus they're cheap and that's what I need

Berny is most certainly still around. He's currently having a ton of work done on his ride.
