70 amp alternator 4 gauge cable. 84% efficency

can i run 1000watts out of an 84% efficient amplifier, if i have 4 gauge wire(17 feet) and a 70 amp alternator?

Does the fact that my car's lockes, windows, and mostly everything is manual?

Probably, assuming you not going to go around blasting test tones out of it

haha, nope just music. And if i ever turn it up to 1000 watts it would be for a very short time

well im going to say no you wont be ok if you crank it...that 70 amps is not at idle only when driving...plus it takes amperage to run the cars electronic needs...but you will soon find out...and music can be almost as bad as test tones...its still frequency based...watch your volt meter with music on low notes and youll probably see what I mean

would advise u add a extra batt & a volt meter upfront to keep an eye on it but it should be alright as long as u dont play it max for long periods ...

Autozone or any car parts store will have them. For a simple one it'll only cost like 15-20 bucks. If you wanted something nicer like a digital one than they usually go for a lot more.

Get a digital one. The analog ones are not precise enough to be useful.

stinger makes a really nice 1 which comes in either red or blue display ...

Yeah I have installed a few of those stinger ones. Actually I just put one in dwight's car at the 3/15 meet.
