Ported or sealed box for 2 12" cvrs?

my friend says he had it sealed with 700 to each sub and it flat out pounded. so im not sure?

are you talking about buying prefab boxes? if so don't do it, get a box made for them.

You've already cheaped out on the subs; don't cheap out on the enclosure.

Go ported and build it yourself for way less than $100.

ported ftw cvrs sound super good that way and if you need a good prefbed im not with recommending them butthe bass slammer series are good i got one in my car

DO NOT buy a prefab ported box, the tuning on them is way too high, which makes them sound like complete crap


The box needs to be made for the subs. Heres some good box builders

If you insist on a prefab box, make it a sealed one, and just check that the internal volume matches what the subs specify.
