Never heard a Treo before, but the IDmaxes are super efficient ...
On as little as 200watts their output is suprisingly loud...

I have only been able to compare it to the 10w7, which i previously owned...On the same power the w7 had a noticeably louder output over the idmax , but the Idmax was the better over all performer...Its sq was nothing short of excellent, the transition between the lower frequencies were so smooth and it had a very tight response.

You'll never require an electrical upgrade with the IDmax unless you're probably thinking of using more than two of their drivers in your setup. Their full potential can be harnessed with as little as 500 wrms..

Treo drivers have been said to be of vey high quality subs also....

Both great companies, but i guess it comes down to personal preference, suitability to your application and budjet....

SSI's are alot louder! I had a set of IDQ 12's and got rid of them in a week, then went to a set of SX 15's. I bought a set of SSI 10.22's as a backup setup in case I blew something so I was experimenting with sealing my trunk and I used them, found out they are quite loud especially on 2500 rms for the pair.... Polo..

Oh NM didn't notice you said SQ, the IDQ's have the best SQ but if you want to get loud and sound great then the SSI's will be the ones. Polo..

depends on what amp you buy. just grab any amp that'll do about 700-1000wrms at whatever ohm load you want to run it at.

its a duel 2 and i would love to get a kicker amp, but none of them are 1 ohm stable, and only push like 300 or so at 4 ohms and i don't really want to spend 300 on the amp

polo did you get rid of the IDQ because it sucked or because it didn't get loud enough?

Good choice on the IDMAX. You won't be disappointed.

As for Polo, I can't believe you wanted to get loud? Haha.

143db in the 35hz range is just about where it is, I would say no but it should supplement what you have nicely... Funny Reece, the way people pushed the IDQ's like they were the sub of all subs but they are a great SQ sub, the SSI's surprised me once I added twice the rms rating was quite nice... Polo..
