Help with setting gain...

ok i have 2 type r's wired to 1 ohm on my kx1200.1 hot much of the gain could i push but not so much to blow the subs...the kx1200.1 benched just over 1400...

use a dmm. or until your start hearing distortion, then back off a little.

dont have a dmm :-(...but if i buy one what should it measure?? or would i just have to find out my self??

Dude, dmm's are so cheap and widespread. Sears, pep boys, autozone, even cheaper places like harborfreight.com will have them cheap as heck.
