right now i have 2 12" kicker L7's with a hifonics bxi2006d, it actually slams pretty hard, i have it in a nolte audio box, its 3.61 cubes, i am looking to get a different type of sub, or subs, i have a few questions, i need them to wire to 1 ohm, and my budget is 400, would 1 12 type x in a ported box be louder them y 2 12's? im looking for something that will hit louder, but also sound better thanks in advance
a type x is an sq sub ... l7s are designed to get loud and only that ... but if enclosed and powered properly ... u shouldnt have an issue with loudness
well im not just looking for loudness...im looking for something thats just as loud, if not louder, but that has better sound quality, my friend has 1 12 type x in a ported box, and its just as loud as my 2 12's, what do you recommend for different subs? and what size box and tuning should i do if i get a new box
